BRETT LEONARD

VPI, Chief Visionary Officer
studio.Lightship, co-Founder

Widely recognized as one of the godfathers of Virtual Reality, Brett is a world-renowned thought-leader in immersive technologies and virtual experience, having introduced the term and concept to popular culture in 1993 in his seminal hit film Lawnmower Man, which featured VR technology used with nootropics to help chimps (and then humans) reach a higher state of potential. Having demonstrated concepts for VR and psychedelic integration that, to this day, have not been realized or surpassed, Brett’s visionary films and technology companies have pushed the boundaries of weaving new technology with storytelling. Through studio.Lightship, his VX World-Building production company, he is leading the next wave of Virtual eXperience – creating processes, patents, formats and IPs that will power the Virtual Age.
